When the LPAR activation starts, the message Performing Task - Please Wait
will briefly appear, then the IVM UI will return to the View/Modify Partitions
window.
Activating from the CLI
The chsysstate command is used to start a partition from the command line by
either the LPAR number or name. Example 4-24 shows LPAR 4being activated
from the CLI.
Example 4-24 Using the CLI to activate a partition
$ chsysstate -o on -r lpar --id 4
or
$ chsysstate -o on -r lpar -n JS23DMlpar4
